About this race

THE COURSE

Stretton Skyline Half Marathon is a half marathon trail race through the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Expect varied terrain, exposed ridgelines, woodland tracks, and classic Shropshire views. The route is fully marked with tape and signs, and marshals are positioned at key junctions.

Underfoot conditions vary with the weather. Trail shoes are strongly recommended. Road shoes are not suitable for most sections of this course.

START & FINISH

Runners gather at All Stretton Village Hall, Shropshire. Allow time for registration, bag drop, and a short safety briefing before the start. The finish area includes medals, refreshments, and plenty of encouragement from the Runningmonk team.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Runningmonk events are inclusive and welcoming. There are no cut-off times - if you are prepared to keep moving forward, we will support you to the finish line with a smile. First-time trail runners and experienced athletes are equally welcome.

RACE DAY TIMINGS

Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the published start time. Briefing times will be confirmed by email closer to the event. Chip timing is not used on all courses - manual timing may apply on shorter trail races.

Marshals at every listed checkpoint. Cups are not provided at unmanned stations - please carry a reusable cup.
